Gold Coast 27.7-29.7.06

Jen and I flew to the Gold Coast and spent a couple of days in Surfers Paradise. Surfers has maybe one of Australia's most famous skylines, even though Surfers is just an accumulation of hotels next to a huge beach...there is not really much to see....it's a tourist destination and many Aussies spend their holidays in Surfers...however we didnt get bored and had 3 busy days...

First day: DREAMWORLD...theme park close to Surfers Paradise





felt sooooo sick after this ride...was a kids ride...how embarrassing...=)


My favourite ride...0-150km/h in 2 sec...the TOWER OF TERROR....a car gets accelerated to 150 km/h within less than 2 sec...it shoots out of a tunnel, goes straight for maybe 300m and finally climbs a tower vertically up to 100m, before it goes all the way back...crazy???--yes!!!!....but soooooooo much fun....



...we were lucky cos we got the front seats....can u see the light at the end of the tunnel???!!!...=)

On the beach...water was pretty cold...i mean its still winter here, but we had 28 degrees in the sun...i love the Aussie winter...

Coffee Festival at THE ROCKS 23.07.06

On the 23rd of July there was a huge coffee festival in THE ROCKS in Sydney....over 20 Aussie coffee producers presented their coffees and sold it for $1 a cup...heaven for a coffee addict...unfortunately i got there quite late and i had only 45 min left before the show closed...the lines at the coffee stands were long, so i couldnt drink more than a Cappuccino and a Latte...but doesnt matter...it was good fun anyway...look at the pics and smell the coffee....

Allison's 22nd Birthday 14.7.06

Allison celebrated her 22nd birthday in the city and first we couldnt find the location, but eventually Jen and I made it and here are the pics...

Manly 04.07.06

On the 4th of July Jen and I went to Manly...we visited Ocean World...sharks, turtles, spiders, snakes...good fun...afterwards we had some fish and chips and ejoyed a beautiful winter day at the beach....

Perth 11.5-14.5

In May we visited Danica and Scott in Perth for a couple of days...Perth is the most isolated city in the world and is closer to Singapore than to the next largest city in Australia, Adelaide...but it's a beautiful and clean city with lots of sunshine and super friendly people...so much nicer than the Sydneysiders...hehe...anyway...we had a great time with Danica and Scott...thanks guys for 3 wonderful days...

we werent really happy with the hotel...first we faced the highway...then we changed rooms...then we had great view of the wall...hehe...and finally we got a room with a nice view...here is the wall room...

On the 5.5.06 we went out and had some drinks...Im lovin' it....

Camping from 20.4-23.4.06

Jen and I went camping from 20.4.-23.4....we drove up to Stockton...close to Newcastle....after 2h of driving we finally arrived on the campground. We set up our huge tent and spent 3 wonderful days on the beach...
